Higher Self Foundation - Counseling & Retreat Center

Higher Self Foundation is a counseling and retreat center devoted to helping all who seek to be the best they can be. We see problems simply as possibilities for growth, and help our clients bring unconscious material to the light to permit freedom from outdated, limiting patterns.

In many cases our approach to Marriage Counseling is to work with a couple initially in larger chunks of time to allow them to get to the issues more quickly and to prevent dependency on therapy for solving problems. It is said around 12-step groups that intimacy means: " in to me see." Many people are not comfortable with that kind of passion and vulnerability. The intensity of these sessions combined with working with a husband and wife team maximizes your experience. We help you determine what you would want if we could wave a magic wand, and then together we develop a treatment plan that will help you achieve your goals. Come prepared to live in both the intellectual and emotional worlds, and having some idea how you want your relationship to look.

We work on the well founded clinical assumption that people in long term relationships always pair up with an emotional equal, so if you believe that you are either significantly healthier or sicker than your partner, be open to rethinking this. Our job is to help each partner see themselves and work on their part of the relationship. If you are fulfilled, the relationship you are in will be fulfilling.

Our approach to Individual Therapy is short term and problem solving. It is not necessary to relive your past in order to heal from it. We have many tools that we use to help bring the unconscious to light so each client can live a happy, joyous, and free life.

Success in life requires an approach that empowers an individual on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. To achieve these ends we offer a multi mode approach at both our retreat center and our offices in Fayetteville that includes counseling, body work, energetic healing, meditation, and spirituality.
